Next vehicle arrival system now in place for TTC buses
As promised, GPS-tracking of TTC buses has finally been implemented across the fleet. Passengers can now check on the real-time location of vehicles before making their way to their local stop. A number of developers have already updated their smartphone apps to reflect the addition of bus routes (similar information has been available on streetcars for over a year), and the NextBus web and mobile sites appear to be working smoothly. Customers can also send a text message to their bus stop number (found under the route listings on the TTC website) for the arrival times of future vehicles.
