Toronto Craigslist ad asks Calgary to swap mayors

Two days, after the Toronto Municipal elections, a Craigslist ad was posted asking if Calgary wanted to do a swap for each city's respective mayor elect. Rob Ford to Calgary, in exchange for Naheed Nenshi to Toronto.

Some of the listed attributes for Ford include:

  • A few credits short of a degree
  • Hates "gravy", graffiti, bike lanes, and streetcars.
  • Has a bit of a temper and several brushes with the law.

In contrast, the ad cites Nenshi's attributes to include:

  • Holds BComm and Harvard Master's of Public Policy degree.
  • Loves theatre, city-building, and publishing civic essays and articles.
  • Never been arrested.

It's been over two weeks, and still no response. However, the ad does say that the swap would be effective December 1, 2010, so there's still time!
