Winners announced for 2010 OAAG Visual Arts Awards


The winners have been announced for the 2010 Ontario Association of Art Galleries with Toronto taking home the two Exhibition of the Year Awards.

The "Over $20,000" award went to Universal Code: Art and Cosmology in the Information Age held at the The Power Plant, and the "Under $20,000" went to Noise Ghost: Shuvinai Ashoona and Shary Boyle held at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, Hart House.

Other Toronto galleries recognized for their work include the Art Gallery of York University, Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, Mercer Union: A Centre for Contemporary Visual Art and Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art.
