Lineup for final ALL CAPS! Island Festival revealed

It's bittersweet news, but last week, Wavelength unveiled the lineup for the 2013 ALL CAPS! Island Festival, which is set to be its fifth and final year. The festival, which features music, art, camping, games, and all kinds of summer fun, will take place on August 10 and 11 at Toronto Island. Featured musicians include Rich Aucoin, Catl, The Blow, Elfin Saddle, Shotgun Jimmie, Beekeeper, and more. That's a highly decent lineup, and since this will be the festival's last hurrah, you really shouldn't sleep on it - get out there and enjoy a weekend of great music and art. Early bird passes go on sale tomorrow (June 25), with single-day tickets going on sale July 9. For full details, check out the official site.

THIS WEEK'S HOT TICKETS

THURSDAY JUNE 27 / MATCHBOX TWENTY AND GOO GOO DOLLS / MOLSON CANADIAN AMPHITHEATRE / 909 LAKE SHORE W / $37.50 - $120.75 / ALL AGES

If you can look past the absolutely outrageous max ticket price (seriously, 120 bucks?), this should be a nostalgic, fun show. Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls were two of the biggest bands of the 90s, and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who isn't familiar with one or more of their tunes. I've always maintained that A Boy Named Goo was one of the best pop-rock records of the 90s, if not of all time - yes, I'm a Goo Goo Dolls fan, I admit it. This is the perfect show for a warm, summer night, and you're much better off sitting on the lawns than paying an arm and a leg to stand up front.

SATURDAY JUNE 29 AND SUNDAY JUNE 30 / DIGITAL DREAMS / MOLSON CANADIAN AMPHITHEATRE / 909 LAKE SHORE W / $152 / 19+

Fans of EDM were devastated this year when WEMF, Canada's biggest electronic music fest, was abruptly cancelled. While Digital Dreams is nowhere near the size of WEMF, it still promises to be a decent showcase of talent. The lineup includes such names as Tiesto, Datsik, Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, Excision, Ed Rush & Optical, Noisia, Doctor P, Hydee, and a ton more. Those last five are worth the price of the ticket alone - take it from me.
