Tycho at the Drake Underground

Tycho is playing this Sunday April 20th at the Drake Underground, and If you're a synth lover like me, you don't want to miss this one.

I was first introduced to Tycho when I purchased a T-shirt from ISO50, later to realize both where projects from San Fransisco based artist/designer/producer Scott Hansen.

As Tycho, Hansen manages to produce beautiful atmospheric soundscapes full of warmth and depth. Reminiscent of Boards of Canada, he creates highly emotional and melodic ambient music, while keeping it warm and colorful.

As ISO50, he creates beautiful visuals that complement his musical vision of longing and memory. I'm quite addicted to his blog where you can explore some of the imagery he finds inspiring as well as other little things that he finds interesting.

For this show he will be presenting a few new songs and an all new visual set with 6 screens and 6 projectors.

Here is a sample video from one of his live shows
