Recorded in 1989, and one of the bigger hits from his debut album Symphony in Effect, "Drop the Needle" is a killer oldskool hip hop classic by Toronto's own Maestro Fresh Wes.

What's he up to these days? He's been acting and has taken on roles in a number projects for film and television. Last year at the Reel World Film Festival Maestro received a Trailblazer Award. He also has his own line of clothing and skateboard decks.

Check out his interview on blogTO from last summer, and to continue on the way back nostalgic tip, check out more Maestro classics.
