This Week in Fashion: Tie One On fundraiser, Vitaly Friends Pop-Up, and a handful of sample sales

This Week in Fashion rounds up the week's style news, store openings and closings, pop-up shops, sales and upcoming fashion and design events in Toronto. Find it here every Wednesday morning.

EVENTS

Tonight (May 7) at 6pm, Homes First's Tie One On returns for its second annual fundraiser benefitting the 5,000 homeless people living on the streets of Toronto. The event - held at The Hoxton (69 Bathurst St.) - auctions off celebrity ties and scarves from the likes of Margaret Atwood, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, and George Stroumboulopoulos. Tickets are available online at $50 and include a drink and hors d'oeuvres.

Vitaly Design is once again hosting their Friends Pop-Up - a five-day extravaganza featuring a whole slew of local and international brands, artists, and musicians in one place (1101 Queen St. West). Starting tomorrow (May 8) and stretching until Monday (May 12), the event gives guests a chance to jam out in the lounge, peruse the collections of over a dozen vendors, and - oddly enough - get tattooed on-site.

Indochino's Traveling Tailor pop-up shop is coming to Toronto tomorrow (May 8). If you want a totally custom, premium suit made, visit 425 Queen St. West for a quick, half-hour appointment with a Style Guide to be measured, styled, and introduced to their vast customization options. Suits run from $450 to $750, and they'll be open until May 25th.

SALES

Standard Apparel's always-popular warehouse sale is back! From tomorrow (May 8) until Saturday (May 10), their head office at 87 Wingold Ave., Unit 1 will be full of 50-80% off deals on men's, women's and kids' clothing, footwear and accessories. Snatch pieces by Fred Perry, Oliver Spencer, Filson, and more at low, low prices from 10 am until 8 pm on weekdays, and 10 am until 4 pm on Saturday.

PYA Importer's seasonal sample sale kicks off tomorrow (May 8) and stretches until Saturday (May 10), giving shoppers four whole days to snatch up a great deal. Designer labels like Ted Baker and Line Knitwear will be available at up to 80% off, so be sure to visit 15 Apex Rd. for a chance to stock up on quality goods.

The massive, coveted Reia Sample Sale is back and ready for action next Tuesday (May 13). This time around, don't miss your chance at snagging men's or women's designer labels at a fraction of the cost - including pieces by Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, and Maison Martin Margiela - on the sixth floor of The Burroughes Building (639 Queen St West).
