Seasons greetings!

While we missed Sinterklaas, we thought wed get one more Borrel in before the holidays and the end of the year. And were thrilled to be hosting it at a new venue! By popular demand, weve found a spot in the west end right along the subway line: Orchard.

Orchard Bar is a super gezellig bar in Bloordale, located at 1174 Bloor Street West, just a short walk west of Dufferin station. Theyre opening up nice and early for us for an afternoon Borrel from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11.

So take a break from your Christmas shopping and join us for some Dutch eats, craft beer and drinks. Hope to see you there!

In other news: also due to popular demand, Ive been tinkering away at Indonesian recipes over the past few months. Its been really exciting and a huge challenge not to mention a whole lot of trial and error to do justice to these dishes and an entirely new cuisine for me. But I think some have turned out pretty good. Well have a better idea after hosting our first-ever rijsttafel this Saturday at The Depanneur as part of its Supper Club series!

The event sold out really quick, before we were able to post about it ourselves. But the good news is that, should it go well, you might be seeing some future Indonesian food events from us in 2017.
