TSO Chamber Soloists

The great appeal of the TSO Chamber Soloists is they can be viewed as a microcosm of the larger symphony orchestra where they perform. Apply that to the intimate nature of chamber music, and the result is a close encounter with the distinct personalities and talents of these TSO individual musicians. The works they choose to perform in that milieu also offer a different perspective into a particular composer’s craft – small scale versus large. For this program, we are fortunate to experience their vision of Johannes Brahms. They will perform the Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115 and String Sextet No. 1 in B-flat Major, Op. 18.

Curated by TSO Concertmaster Jonathan Crow, the Chamber Soloists seek to bring audiences closer to the musicians of the Orchestra—personally and musically. Soloists joining him are:

Luri Li, violin, Michael Casimir, principal viola, Rémi Pelletier, associate principal viola, Joseph Johnson, principal cello, Emmanuelle Beaulieu Bergeron, associate principal cello, Eric Abramovitz, principal clarinet
