Last year, Canada lost a brilliant, passionate artist in Gord Downie - and with him, our national band. The Tragically Hip were much more than a band who sang songs about Canada, though. They were creative, always evolving, and never afraid to take artistic risks while always maintaining a distinctive and truly unique sound. They made us feel so many things, and, for a lot of us, were the soundtrack to significant parts of our lives. Gord kept inspiring people up until the very end, and he and his bandmates have inspired us to use our art to pay tribute to their art.
