For the third consecutive year, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors are both heading into their respective post seasons. With a total of 46 wins and 23 of them at home, the Maple Leafs finished third in the NHL’s Atlantic Division with 100 points at the end of the regular season.

As the Leafs, Raptors, and their fans prepare for the 2019 playoffs, the teams are excited to invite fans to celebrate and come down to Maple Leaf Square to the Leafs Playoff Tailgate Parties presented by Scotiabank and Raptors Tailgate presented by Tangerine to watch the postseason on the big screen.

For the safety of our fans and to be mindful of ongoing construction in the area surrounding the arena, MLSE and the City of Toronto encourage fans to ride the TTC and GO Transit for the duration of the NHL and NBA Playoffs. Businesses on Bremner Boulevard will be open for business throughout the duration of playoffs and tailgate parties.

The following information outlines the various ways fans can be a part of this season’s playoffs.

Playoff Tailgate Parties in Maple Leaf Square information

Fans can cheer for their team on the big screen at Maple Leaf Square alongside thousands of passionate Leafs and Raptors faithful. Fans at the tailgates can win trips to road games and also enjoy giveaways, fun activations, special guests, a live DJ and more. Gates open two hours in advance of the game.

Fans enter from Lakeshore Boulevard West and Bay Street

Maple Leaf Square will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of Playoffs. Bremner Boulevard, between Maple Leaf Square and York St. will be closed on a game-by-game basis when a tailgate is being hosted; however, residents will still have access to their parking garages.

Inside each Tailgate Party in Maple Leaf Square, Real Sports Bar & Grill will have a beer vendor and Real Sports Apparel will sell exclusive playoff merchandise at a pop-up location. To provide fans quicker service, these kiosks along with all bars, food trucks, hawkers and hotdog vendors will be cashless.

From game to game, Scotiabank Arena will be a playoff hub for whichever team is playing at home. If the Leafs or Raptors are playing within the arena, the tailgate party in Maple Leaf Square will also be dedicated exclusively to the home team.

Both the Leafs and Raptors will host tailgate parties for away games, provided the other team is not playing a home game at the same time.
If both teams play on the same day at different times, Maple Leaf Square will transition from one team’s tailgate party to the other following the conclusion of the first game.

If two games are being shown, Maple Leaf Square will also feature additional smaller support screens.

Playoff tickets for both teams are extremely limited. A number of tickets will be available for fans to win at each Tailgate in Maple Leaf Square.
