// The Wilderness of Manitoba

The Wilderness of Manitoba prefers to characterize itself as an evolving entity and founding member Will Whitwham is the last man standing. For the bands new EP, The Tin Shop, the vocalist/multi-instrumentalist stepped up to write and produce all the songs himself. When a band isnt changing, its not growing, says Whitwham. From the bands inception, it has redefined itself with every new release; from its debut album Hymns of Love and Spirits through When You Left The Fire, Island of Echoes, Between Colours and various EPs. The evolution of their sound has run the gamut from four part harmonies and its initial chamber folk sound to duo lead vocals and an expanded sonic palette ranging from cinematic indie pop to anthemic folk rock. The new EP is a stripped down acoustic representation of the Wilderness of Manitoba sound and features Whitwham along with vocalist/guitarist Raven Shields. The duo will be performing special acoustic performances around the release of the EP in May 2017. An album, Across The Dark, featuring the full line-up and including bassist/vocalist Tavo Diez de Bonilla and drummer Mike Brushey, will be released in August 2017.

// Jenny Berkel

Since releasing her debut album, Here on a Wire, Jenny Berkel has been intoxicating listeners with her evocative songs and voice. Both on her own and as part of Daniel Romano's Trilliums band, her consistent touring has garnered fans across the country and ocean. This November, Berkel is releasing a limited edition EP: Cicada, a collection of songs recorded throughout the last two years. Cicada is an intimate look into Berkels world, featuring an array of special guests Daniel Romano, the Weather Station and Michael Feuerstack. Her songs glitter with the quiet solitude of a night sky - dreamy and piercing, shimmering with memories of childhood, family and home.
