The Flower Ball

Balls are competitive events celebrating LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks and members of the Ballroom community, where performers battle it out on the runway in a multitude of categories like Performance (Vogue), Realness, and Face.

Doors open at 4PM. Ball starts at 5PM. This is a 19+ event, with tickets starting at $20.

They say April showers bring May flowers. But the frigid wind and bitter mornings haven't gone anywhere just yet. Aura West and Tamar Miyake-Mugler welcome you to the Flower Ball, featuring the Legendary Icon Kevin JZ Prodigy (Philadelphia, PA), myst milano, and DJ Blackcat.

Tonight, we’re keeping it simple. Dressed in all black, representing Winter's lingering shadow, competitors must bring an offering of fresh flowers to our panel of ice-cold judges and hope for clemency. Who knows, maybe if they turn the floor ablaze, Spring will have sprung by the end of the night...

Thanks to Vigyl, our eight winners and two lucky guests picked at random will receive their signature Hanlans candle—a little birdie told us it smells like white hot sun and tanned bums on paradise isle. Contemporary scents, hand poured in Montreal in a delicate glass vessel that celebrates modern simplicity.

We wish to acknowledge the land on which we will be meeting for the Flower Ball. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and we are grateful for the opportunity to host this event on this land.
