Lonny’s Smile Foundation presents Serenades for Special Hearts II – an evening of song and songcraft.

Proceeds send children with congenital heart disease to summer camp.

The evening will include two sets of music featuring Murray Foster and Mike Ford performing and discussing their influences and craft, including one set showcasing the music of The Cocksure Lads.

Murray Foster is a songwriter, musician, writer, director, playwright, and screenwriter best known as the bass player for Moxy Früvous and Great Big Sea.

Mike Ford is a former member of Moxy Früvous, and a bilingual JUNO-nominated solo artist who has released five acclaimed albums of Canadian history-inspired songs.

The Cocksure Lads – In 2010 Murray and Mike recorded a collection of songs in a Beatles-era Britpop style under the name The Cocksure Lads. That CD became the jumping off point for a feature film, a second CD, a television script, and most recently a musical.
