S. Maria Brandt’s approach in this body of work is cross-genre and includes environmental studies, food science, and a Canadian-specific understanding of biodome. The artist connects their own experiences with what is happening to the world outside: waste, climate change, economic disruption, poverty, hunger, migration, and survival. That 50% in at the back of a household's fridge is both the object and the subject of this work - it evokes discussion, some confusion, and perhaps an enduring edge of discomfort.

50% of any proceeds from sales of the work will go to Second Harvest to offset any waste created in making this artwork.
