ReelAbilities Film Festival: Toronto (RAFFTO), Canada’s largest film festival dedicated to showcasing Deaf and disability cultures returns for its third year with 25 films. Screening in various venues in Toronto, the 2018 RAFFTO lineup includes Canadian premieres from Brazil, Canada, China, Poland, Spain and the U.S.

From an honest look at basketball’s “female Michael Jordan” and her hidden struggle with mental illness in Mind/Game: The Unquiet Journey of Chamique Holdsclaw to a unique glimpse into an after-school program for differently-abled youth in Perfectly Normal For Me, this powerful lineup of films will educate and excite audiences.

The pre-Festival lineup also includes free screenings at Doors Open Toronto from May 26 and 27 in City Hall’s Council Chambers. In addition to screenings, the Festival will include Q&As with film talent; industry workshops; and panel discussions surrounding sexuality and consent, accessible media creation and inclusive design planning.

General admission tickets are $12 per screening and are on sale at reelabilities.org/toronto. Discounted tickets are available for seniors,
