PULP: paper art party 2018

Ever partied in a room full of paper?

Fashion items made of old maps, resonant waves of unused receipts from a store that closed down, inhabitable cardboard tubes structure, maybe a sculpture made of round-headed wasp paper?

Those are just some of the things you can expect on January 20th at PULP: paper art party 2018. And for the third year in a row, PULP is bringing the talents of youth from Evergreen Centre for Street Invovled Youth to the party with their newest creation - a mosaic of miniature paintings on reclaimed pieces of wood! Oh and there will be a paper queen on a ladder.

PULP : paper art party 2018 is coming to Little Italy to turn Super Wonder Gallery (584 College St, Toronto) into a blue bin playground. Doors open at 7 PM. Join the conversation with #PULPartparty!

PULP : paper art party 2018 is an evening combining reclaimed materials installation art, live music, dancing, and charity. It's a fundraiser designed to examine the current life cycle of paper materials (among others) and investigate alternative uses.

Proceeds go to Yonge Street Mission Evergreen Centre for Street Involved Youth.

The environment is important, but PULP isn’t about lectures or presentations – we want people dancing, talking, playing, and creating. Inside a unique two-story space, artists will introduce guests to sustainable design through reclaimed material installations in an exciting social setting. PULP is a party that’s about more than just partying.

We use the funds we raise and the expertise of our designers to support a charity in Toronto every year. This year we have artist Ksenija Spasic working again with staff and youth at YSM Evergreen Centre, making wearable art for the event.

In addition, PULP will donate funds to Evergreen Centre for at risk street youth which provides varied and nutritious meals at their youth drop-in centre. In addition, funds raised during the event go to Evergreen Centre for Street-Involved Youth. Last year we donated over $1500 to the cause! Information on how to donate beyond the price of a ticket coming soon.
