Pollinators In The City

From pollinator-friendly plants to Toronto’s Official Bee, learn all the ways you can support our Pollinator Friends in the city–from the birds to butterflies and bees!

Pollinators are an important part of our ecosystem and integral to a healthy food system. In fact, one out of every three mouthfuls of food we eat and beverages we drink, depends on pollinators! That’s why it’s so important we protect and create habitat for these super helpful and important animals.

At this one hour workshop you will learn:

•The importance pollinators play in our ecosystem

•Best practices to ensure a healthy ecosystem for pollinators in your home garden and beyond

•How to pick the best native and pollinator-friendly plants for your garden

•How to identify pollinators that are native to Toronto

Plus take home some Pollinator Friendly seeds to kick-start your pollinator garden and enjoy a pint of beer in our dining room after the workshop–your ticket includes both!
