Opera Pub - Beware the Arias of March

There are many imitators, but there is only one #OperaPub: This March we present a raucous evening of cheap drinks, memes, and operatic hits about rivals, (fr)enemies, and those coworkers you just can't staaaand/want to fire but are afraid they might prosecute you for collusion with a Soviet state and/or stab you with knives-we-are-looking-at-you-Brute.

Host David Eliakis is joined by a surprise entourage of singers for a night of:

+ Free Music

+ Opera in A Minute (We take a 3 hour opera and pare it down to one act) — could Handel's GIULIO CESARE be on the menu?

+ Caesars and Caesar Salads

+ Cheap Pints! Raffle Prizes! Spaghetti!

+ More crazy things we can't predict

Thursday, March 1, 9pm to 11pm

at The Amsterdam Bicycle Club

54 The Esplanade, Toronto, ON

Musical performances begin at 9pm and wrap by 11pm. We perform 3 sets of music with breaks in between to refresh your drinks.

1) You can arrive super early and enjoy dinner/drinks before the show (and try to grab seats and a table). Arrive before 8pm to grab a seat -- it's usually standing-room-only after 8:30pm.

2) Join us for the late-night set, starting at 10pm, and ending around 10:30pm/11pm. More seats and tables become available at this time.

Running the first Thursday of every month, AtG Opera Pub nights are improvised, wild nights that offer up your favourite beer on tap with a side of operatic arias and ensembles, performed by both established and emerging opera talent. Free admission, discounted pints of beer. It's the perfect introduction for newbies and a welcome break for opera vets who you want to see something "a little different."

"Opera Pub brings this most secret of pleasures to astonished newcomers." The Globe and Mail

"It can all get a little wild" - Actual Audience Member Reaction

"[Opera Pub] has the feeling of an after party when musicians kick back, loosen up and playfully make music with their friends." Musical Toronto
