Multi-Sensory Late-Night Party to Close Inaugural BRAVE Festival at Harbourfront Centre

BRAVE: The Festival of Risk and Failure presents an artist take-over on the last night of the Festival as it moves to the Artport building for Exiled at Night – a night of live music, performances, installations, DJs and surprises.

Themed to celebrate and highlight artists who create art in exile and those who continue to create from the ‘inside’ of oppression – whether having fled their homelands due to hunger, persecution, climate change or war or those who have to hide who they are from a judgmental world that does not allow them to be their true self – Exiled programming features provocative artistic expressions inspired by these tremendously personal stories.

Featured local and international performers include Papi Juice, FAARROW, Säye Skye, DJ Ciel, Obuxum, Sikh Knowledge, Myst Milano, Jerus Nazdaq, Cosmic Unicorn, Les Femmes Fatales, Habiba El-Sayed and more.

Harbourfront Centre proudly presents BRAVE: The Festival of Risk and Failure, a fresh and daring new festival that will push the boundaries of what it means to be brave, July 12 – 29, 2018. The Festival includes some of the world’s most courageous artists, thinkers, writers and musicians who are brave enough to disrupt the status quo, such as John Waters and Bassem Youssef. BRAVE encompasses 18 days of free and ticketed programming with concerts, movie screenings, stand-up comedy, dance, storytelling, visual arts and special events, including the Canadian debut of the Museum of Failure.
