Micha, a refugee from Jamaica moves to a small town in Canada, thinking that there would be more freedom to be himself and not hide. The small town he lives in does not provide comfort or safety to be fully self-expressed. Often after Sunday Mass at Church, Micha retreats to an old shed where he keeps his secret stash of dresses and dreams of performing on stage to his favourite songstresses songs.

The evening itself

The evening will begin with an introduction to the film by Zahra and Micha where they will share the birth of the poem, how they connected and how the film came about.

Then Micha will perform one of his and Zahra's favourite Eartha Kitt film scene's. Micha the film will follow and we will end with Micha performance to 'I want to be evil', another Eartha Kitt. We might be huge fans. ;)
