The L Word: Generation Q + Work in Progress Premiere (FREE)
Work in Progress (30m), The L Word: Generation Q (1h) | TIFF Bell Lightbox | 7:30 PM
This FREE SCREENING on December 3rd is generously sponsored by Crave on Giving Tuesday. Both Showtime series premiere in Canada on Sunday, December 8th, only on Crave, so this is an amazing opportunity for Inside Out supporters to catch the premiere episodes before their big debuts!
THE L WORD: GENERATION Q is the sequel to the groundbreaking drama series THE L WORD®, which originally ran on SHOWTIME from 2004-2009 (all six previous seasons are available on Crave), and continues to follow the intermingled lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) and Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig), along with new characters Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) as they experience love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in L.A.
WORK IN PROGRESS is a funny and uniquely human comedy. Created by Chicago improv mainstays Abby McEnany and Tim Mason and co-written by Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Sense8), the series features McEnany as a 45-year-old self-identified fat, queer dyke from Chicago whose misfortune and despair unexpectedly lead her to a vibrantly transformative relationship. Chicago-based performer Karin Anglin co-stars alongside Celeste Pechous, with Julia Sweeney (Saturday Night Live, Shrill) appearing in a crucial role as herself. Theo Germaine (The Politician) will also appear as a special guest star.
