Sistahs In Da Biz is an International Online Virtual Business In The Arts Experience produced by Amani Aka Anne-Marie Woods in Toronto, Ontario.

On October 16th from 3pm - 5:30pm (EST) Toronto Creatives, Artists, Youth (ages 18-30), Arts and Cultural Workers and members of the general public with an interest in the Arts and Business will have a chance to listen to and ask burning questions they have about how to survive as a Creative in this day and age... Led by Industry Professional and Renaissance Woman Amani and Facilitated by Youth Facilitator, Sydnie Paris... 40 registered participants can listen to four leaders in their creative field who are not only Spoken Word Artists, Writers and Creatives but they are also Lady Bosses with a Keen Business Savvy that has given them the ability to not only survive as creatives but to make a name for themselves as professionals in their field.

Amani is the recipient of the Harry Jerome Award for Excellence in Entertainment, she is a Curator, Creative Consultant, Producer, Playwright and Creativity Coach, who has performed and produced both locally and internationally and she is the Brainchild behind this Event Series. Paulina O' Kieffe is the Executive Director of Sketch Working Arts, a Grant Writing Specialist, a Spoken Word Artist, Producer, Consultant and Community Activist. Kat Francois, hailing from London England is a Playwright, Poet Arts Educator, Radio Personality, and she uses arts to teach about health and sexuality to teens in the UK, Arielle John is in Trinidad, WI. She is a scholar, arts educator, author, spoken word artist and theatre practitioner whose focus is on Community Outreach and the Healing Arts. Sydnie our Youth Facilitator is based in Nova Scotia and is a choreographer, dancer, a Dalhousie University Kinesiology student, and a true definition of a leader.

Individually a consultation for an hour with any of us would cost over $100/hr But, on Oct. 16th you can witness spoken word performances, listen to each presenter tell their story as a Creative, and ask pertinent questions.

Regular Rates $50
