Gordon Pinsent's Martin's Hagge - TO Premiere

Written by Canadian film Icon Gordon Pinsent (Two Lovers and a Bear, The Grand Seduction, Away From Her), the award-winning Martin's Hagge will be making it's Toronto Premiere as Official Selection at Canadian Film Fest 2018 on March 21 at 9:30pm.

Martin's Hagge is based on Gordon's personal struggle with depression and anxiety. This self-funded short film, directed by Penny Eizenga, stars Sheila McCarthy, Paul Braunstein and Martha MacIsaac.

Despondent writer, Martin Moyle (Paul Braunstein), is burdened with Hagge (Sheila McCarthy), his wily fantasy personification of anxiety and depression. Martin's interior dialogue is interrupted by an outspoken colleague, Norah Waite (Martha MacIsaac), whose positive outlook invades his sacred workspace. Her honest, vulnerable approach, challenges him to examine his choice of isolation and the rewards of re-embracing life.
