Good Food For All Festival

On Saturday, September 22, The Stop Community Food Centre will host our 12th annual Good Food For All Festival—a celebration of our vibrant community members and the critical role they play in our work to increase access to good food for all.

The day's focal point is a peaceful demonstration that unites The Stop’s staff and volunteers, partnering organizations, local advocates, and community residents of all ages in a march through our neighborhood in the name of food as a basic human right. Following the march, our group of 500+ will head to the backyard of Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Health Centre, located next door to The Stop at 1900 Davenport Road. Here, we will celebrate as a community with tasty food, lively music, rousing speeches, and energizing performances. There will also be plenty of kid friendly activities!

The Good Food For All Festival is The Stop’s opportunity to give back to our community and provide a forum to engage with the issues that touch us all. This day raises critical questions about systemic barriers, the struggle for food security and food sovereignty, and the work we need to do to address issues of poverty and social justice.
