GO Big Then GO Home Poetry Tour

BOUCHARD / FRANCHETEAU / HARRISON / PARKER

+ SHARPE / YEE

PWYC / BUY OUR MERCH / GET DRINKS

Four writers are doing five shows in towns accessible via the GO--and technically we do have to take the GO to get back to Toronto from the other readings, so it's wholly appropriate to book a reading here. Join us in the backroom at the Ossington.

THE TOUR

Fawn Parker is a writer from Toronto, currently based in Montreal. She is the author of Looking Good and Having a Good Time (Metatron) and Weak Spot (Anstruther). She is co-founder of BAD NUDES Magazine and edits poetry for Hybrid Heaven Press.

Meghan Harrison is a writer and editor based in Toronto. Her poetry has appeared in The Puritan, Bad Nudes, and The Antigonish Review, among other places. She previously self-published the chapbooks psychogeography and Pride Fight. Her next chapbook is forthcoming from Rahila's Ghost Press in spring 2018.

JМ Francheteau lives in the Toronto that's in Ontario. Recent poems have appeared in Grain, Arc, The Puritan, Bad Nudes and more. His last chapbook was Kids (Hurtin' Crüe Press).

JC Bouchard’s poetry has appeared in PRISM international, The Puritan, Arc, BafterC (by Book*hug), Queen Mob's Teahouse, and Bad Nudes, among others. He is the author of two chapbooks, Portraits (In/Words Press) and WOOL WATER (words(on)pages press). His book of poems and photographs, Let This Be The End Of Me, was released by Hybrid Heaven Press in April 2018.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Each show will also feature some hype-as-fuck guests because the tour members will eventually get tired of hearing each other's voices. In our group chat we have said things about them like "when she finishes her manuscript I am going to be upset by how good it is" and "yes, absolutely, get her if you can wow."

Sennah Yee writes poetry, writes about films, and writes poetry about films. She is the author of HOW DO I LOOK?, published by Metatron in 2017. She's currently pursuing her PhD in Cinema & Media Studies, focusing her research on gendered robot design in media and technology.

Zoe Imani Sharpe is a poet and essayist based in Toronto. Her work has appeared in the Puritan, Lemonhound and Sang Bleu Magazine in the UK. Her chapbook, Sullied, was published by Trapshot Archives Press in 2011. She is currently at work on her debut collection of poetry.

The Ossington has ramps available to get into the bar from the street and into the backroom. The bathrooms however are gendered and down a flight of stairs.
