About the instructor:

Jay Holz is a freelance illustrator, creative director and former animator. After studying Classical Animation Production at Sheridan College, Jay went on to work on the Gemini award winning children’s show, Angela Anaconda and several other productions before settling down as an Art Director and eventually creative director for a boutique marketing firm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Jay began teaching his daughter how to draw using basic cartooning foundations at a very young age. Impressed with what Jay was doing, other parents began to ask if he would teach their kids as well and Cartoon Coach was born. Cartoon Coach came from more than just the desire to teach but also through frustration that most other drawing programs for kids in Toronto are very expensive.
