Cinéfranco invites you to join in celebrating twenty years of bringing international Francophone cinema to Toronto at Cinéfranco 2017 Rendez-Vous with comedy and humour at the Carlton Cinemas Friday, October 6 – Thursday, October 12. Founder and Artistic Director Marcelle Lean has curated a sparkling cocktail of comedies from the four corners of the Francophone world to bring some cheer and warm hearts in troubled times.

In its 20th year, Cinéfranco continues to celebrate the richness and talents of Francophone cultures around the world showing their diversity through the lens of seasoned and first-time filmmakers. Festival circuit favourites, box-office hits and critically acclaimed films this year focus on humour found in generational conflict, suspense, satire, romantic comedies, and yes, even in difficult social situations. With 16 feature films from France, Canada Belgium, Morocco, Portugal, Germany and the Ivory Coast; and a program of 6 Canadian shorts, Cinéfranco 2017 is proud to present 5 Ontario Premieres, 2 Canadian Premieres, 1 Toronto Premiere and 8 North American Premieres.
