This year’s Canada Day will be extra special all over the country, and here at the BSM we will be celebrating our country’s rich history with a day of free admission and a number of special projects, beginning before you even walk through the door! See our Canada-themed window display, designed by students from Ryerson University; visit our exhibition “Shining Stars: Celebrating Canada’s Walk of Fame” to see the footwear of notable Canadians; watch a film celebrating a remarkable Canadian as we screen 32 SHORT FILMS ABOUT GLENN GOULD throughout the day; check out a B1 exhibition of Toronto-based designer’s sneakers which reflect the individual designer’s feelings about what it means to be Canadian; and let your kids express their own national pride with a design on their own sneaker key chain! Kids activities are drop-in until 4pm. Perfect for kids ages 3-12
