Black History Month Documentary Screening & Brunch

As part of the Jean Augustine Centre's annual Black History Month Celebration and Fundraiser, we are hosting a screening of Steadfast (2022), a documentary film by Fahim Hamid Ali that follows the incredible life and achievements of Canadian icon and Jean Augustine Centre founder, Hon. Dr. Jean Augustine.

Join us on Saturday, February 11th from 9am - 12pm at Cineplex Cinemas Queensway for a screening of the film, accompanied by a catered brunch courtesy of celebrity Chef Selwyn Richards. Other highlights include: opening remarks delivered by Hon. Dr. Jean Augustine and live entertainment.

All proceeds from tickets sales will ensure the continuation of Jean Augustine Centre's free after-school programs, workshops, and camps for underrepresented girls and young women throughout the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.

The Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment is a South Etobicoke-based charity established in 2014 by the Hon. Dr. Jean Augustine. We offer in-person and online programming to young women and girls both locally and across Canada.
