Apparel & Fashion Career Fair and Expo

Momentum is building quickly as some of the most innovative and dynamic names in Canadian fashion gear up to connect with over 500 qualified job seekers from schools all over the Toronto area and beyond, at the Canadian Apparel Federation (CAF)’s second annual Apparel & Fashion Career Fair and Expo.

With support from the City of Toronto, this industry-focused career fair will be held on Mar. 10, 2020 at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon, on the 2nd floor of the Toronto Reference Library.

Adding to the excitement is our free series of on-site seminars, which will be held throughout the day. This is an exclusive opportunity for job seekers to learn first-hand about topical issues from seasoned industry leaders. The roster of panelists includes Jesse Guth (Founder & President of Avid Apparel), Edward Chow (Creative Director at Redwood Classics), Ashley Barby (Founder of FashionTech Toronto), world renowned fashion consultant Yvonne Faulkner and more.

This year our seminars will focus on the most pressing topics facing our industry today, including sustainability in fashion, future-oriented skills, entrepreneurship and the forecast for our rapidly evolving industry. Attendees will walk away armed with the knowledge they need to thrive in Canada’s modern fashion and apparel sector. We will also have a panel of recent graduates, who will answer questions about post-grad life - the good, the bad and the ugly.

As the roster of exhibitors grows, hundreds of students, recent graduates and alumni from leading schools have signed up to attend this one of a kind networking and employment event. Anyone looking for work in the Canadian fashion industry won’t want to miss this chance to meet, learn from and interview with high-calibre industry leaders face to face. The growing list of exhibitors includes Wuxly Movement, Cobmex Apparel Inc., Avid Apparel, Knix Canada, Fashion Group International, Redwood Classics Apparel and more.

“The industry is highly supportive of this career fair,” says Danielle Kuczer, Event Director at CAF. “With these high profile companies having committed to exhibiting and speaking, along with the quality of attendees who are looking for full time work, this really demonstrates the scope and the passion of the industry.”

Registration is required to attend this event. Registration for attendees is free through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/apparel-fashion-career-fair-and-expo-tickets-81849681601
