34th Annual Beaches Jazz Festival

Toronto’s favourite free music festival and summer highlight, the Beaches Jazz Festival is back for its 34th year, July 2 – 24, 2022. After two years of virtual and drive-in events, the Beaches Jazz Fest returns live and in-person for its regular month-long summer programming. The free admission Festival will feature emerging and established local and International artists at multiple stages and venues across the East End, including the return of Festival favourites like StreetFest. The 34th Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival is one that can’t be missed.

The Festival kicks off with Salsa on the Beach on July 2 & 3 in Woodbine Park (Coxwell Ave. and Lakeshore Blvd. East) to showcase the energetic Latin melodies of salsa, merengue and cumbia; making this the perfect event for those looking to hit the dance floor.

The Annual Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside returns July 8-10 featuring over 30 diverse bands in genres like indie rock, big band, pop, folk, and more. The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside weekend will include the Jimmie Simpson Park Main Stage and two new stages: the Riverside Common Stage, and the Leslie Grove Park Big Band Stage. The Richards Group Block Party is back again July 8 & 9th with bands animating Queen St. East with music along street pockets between Carlaw Ave and Lewis St.

From July 15-17, bands will take over Woodbine Park for the much-anticipated TD Main Stage Weekend that is also host to food trucks, vendors, a beer garden, and more.

The free TD Workshops are slated for July 18 - 20 at the Beach United Church (140 Wineva Ave). This year’s workshop programming includes Listen and Learns with renowned Jazz, Steel Pan Drum, and Caribbean artists.

The ultimate Festival favourite, StreetFest returns to Queen Street East, July 21-23, spanning two kilometres along Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue. transforming the Street with over 40 live bands performing everything from classic blues to indie rock to Latin to R&B, and more.

The 2022 season will conclude at Woodbine Park from July 22 - July 24 with the return of Groovin’ in the Park on July 22 & 23rd featuring a showcase of Toronto's Funk, Soul & House music scene, as well as Festival favourites on July 24th at the OLG Main Stage.

After two years of uncertainty, the one thing we know for sure is that music has the power to bring us all together. Our hope is that this year’s Beaches Jazz Festival unites our community while celebrating and showcasing the incredible talent Toronto has to offer.
