2001: A Space Odyssey – New 70mm Print

“The ultimate trip.” We’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY with special screenings of the newly struck 70mm print—from the original camera negative—after its premiere at Festival de Cannes.

What's new?
This 70mm print is struck from new printing elements of the original camera negative. This is a true photochemical film recreation, with no digital tricks or remastered effects or revisionist edits — the unrestored film as experienced by audiences 50 years ago. The print will screen at only a handful of theatres in North America, and we're one of them.
