A Little Dose of Reuse

One of the "three R's" (reduce, reuse, recycle) smacked me in the face yesterday, when I was window shopping on Lakeshore near Islington Avenue in south Etobicoke.

Although the CanWest free daily Dose stopped printing last year, it's great to see that this newspaper stand didn't end up in a landfill and instead is being used as an umbrella sales stand.

What might be even more amazing, however, is where I found this...

I didn't even know Bi-way still existed!! Apparently the Lakeshore location is one of three remaining Bi-Way stores in southern Ontario (according to a quick Google Maps business search).

Oh, and yes, they still sell no-name sneakers presumably made in some sweat shop in Asia (how else can they sell for $4?!).
