OPEN

• Hogtown Smoke is the latest food truck to open a brick and mortar home base. The new BBQ joint opened this week at 1959 Queen Street East in the Beach(es).
• The Espresso Room, a new cafe and bake shop is now open at 3429 Yonge Street.

OPENING SOON

• Speakeasy 21, billed on Facebook as a continental restaurant, is opening in Scotia Plaza (40 King Street) in the coming months. (via Post City)
• The Dock Ellis is slated to open soon at 1280 Dundas West, formerly home to the Red Cherry Bar and Grill.
• Black Irish Whiskey Bar & Oyster Saloon is opening soon at 235 Queen Street East at Sherbourne. (via Chowhound)

CLOSING

• As previously reported, the Indian Rice Factory has closed it's doors, including the adjacent Chai Bar.
• Daiter's (3535 Bathurst Street), the retail creamery and Jewish deli is soon to close pending the sale of the building it's occupied for almost 60 years.
