Casa Loma is about to become a winter wonderland

We're about to hit peak Christmas in Toronto. The Toronto Christmas Market opened in the Distillery District last Friday and Illuminite took over Yonge-Dundas Square. With the Cavalcade of Lights scheduled for this weekend and a slew of other holiday markets on the horizon, it's easier than ever to deck the halls and get excited for the big day.

Just as it went full on haunted house for Halloween this year, Casa Loma will transform into a winter wonderland this holiday season.

On Wednesday evenings throughout December (and the first Wednesday in January), Casa Loma will host Magical Winter Nights. This event will let visitors tour through the light displays in the castle's gardens. It'll also feature live music, carollers, s'mores and hot cocoa. The price of admission is $27 for adults, $22 for youth and seniors and $17 for kids.

And most days, from December 1 to January 8, Casa Loma will let kids visit Santa at his workshop during the family-friendly When You Wish Upon a Star event.

Casa Loma will also decorate with 10 designer Christmas trees inside the historic building, which will add even more festivity during the holidays.
