Rob Ford car impounded

Mayor Rob Ford's car impounded by police

The Rob Ford soap opera continues, even as the Mayor is in rehab. CityNews reports that Ford's Cadillac Escalade was impounded by police on Tuesday afternoon. Although the mayor was not in the vehicle at the time, the OPP have laid an impaired driving charge in conjunction with the seizure. As to the identity of the person charged, CP24 identifies her as LeeAnne McRobb, a Muskoka Lakes resident.

So weird.

The mayor's brother and campaign manager Doug Ford claims not to know who McRobb is, though it appears that no theft charges have been laid at this time. In fact, it sounds like this is all news to the Ford camp, which must be fun for them. On the bright side, at least Rob wasn't around when all this happened. Yes, I just wrote that sentence. And yes, things have gotten so bad that it seemed necessary to do so. You can, however, bet that there's more to this story to come.
