CN Tower

What are Toronto's worst tourist attractions?

Yesterday's news that Toronto's officially getting a new aquarium met with most positive responses, but there were also a fair share of skeptics who wondered if Ripley's involvement would doom the attraction to a certain hokeyness. We'll have to wait a couple years to test that theory, but what of our existing tourist destinations? Are there any that just don't make the grade?

According to our Twitter followers there are, indeed. It'd be silly to declare the ultimate loser here because this wasn't a real poll, but the leading candidates are obvious enough to pick out. The CN Tower, Casa Loma, and Ontario Place all get their due mention. With a major makeover pending for the last of these three, it's not so surprising that people aren't taken by the 1970s era theme park. And Casa Loma, well its had its troubles for years. Perhaps somewhat surprising, given the new EdgeWalk, is the CN Tower's prominence on the list. But, hey, I guess not everyone likes the $175 price tag.

Are there any other attractions you think are boring, dated or just overrated?
