Hot Dogs the Next Caviar?


Riding around town, I've noticed some upscale hot dog carts.

Now, we're not talking about poncho tents here, we're talking carts reminiscent of those you'll find at the CNE.

Take Mike's Hot Dogs here at King and John. For $2.50, you can get either an all-beef, chicken or Yves. For $3.50 to $3.75, you can get honey garlic, hot Italian, Polish or German sausages or if the idea of 7 a.m. hot dogs gross you out, $3.75 will get you two breakfast sausages or a pita sausage.

The definition of gourmet.
