A Breath of Fresh Air at Dundas Square


This bike stuntperson was just one of the many attractions at yesterday's Fresh Air Fair at Dundas Square to promote enviro-friendly initiatives.

The Fair featured shadow puppetry, steel pan drummers, environmental booths, free munchies and guys on stilts. It's meant to engage children, youth and families in activities that show how working together can motivate action and make a difference in the future for our environment and health and the importance of clean air in the city.

According to the Yonge-Dundas Square Web site, "These activities encourage active lifestyle choices and promote their benefits in improving local air quality and a healthier self.

Sure, the sky is painted a perfect blue in the photo, but just last week when hot and humid smog took over the city, this was the view from the island:
