Romi's Bakery and Market
Romi's Bakery and Market specializes in a variety of freshly baked challah bread by chef-owner Tomer Markovitz.
Markovitz is responsible for Parallel's popular Middle Eastern menu where he worked after moving to Canada in 2016.
Naming his business after his first daughter, Romi, the bakery-cafe serves lunch items such as hummus and falafel, in addition to the giant sandwiches featuring schnitzel and kebab built on challah bread that Markovitz is becoming known for.
Other specialties include its giant cookies which are crispy on the outside and soft-set in the centre, plus prepared goods such as hummus, baba ganoush, tahini and more.
