Dazzling photo journalism exhibit returns to Toronto

World Press Photo is back in Toronto for another year, and just as stunning as ever. Divorced from a gallery context, this is one of the best ways to take in the profoundly good work that the world's top photo journalists are producing each year. Better to do this before lunch, though -- some of the images are rightly disturbing, and you'll be left brooding for the rest of the day.

The Toronto stop of the exhibition is one of about 100 that take place worldwide, showing off the award winners from the annual competition that crowns the best photos of the year from the press corps. This is one not to miss, and very easy to make it out to. Displayed in the Allen Lambert Galleria at Brookfield Place, access to the exhibit is wide open until October 20.

Take a glimpse of what's on offer below.
