Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition 2011

Photos of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition

Taking place at Nathan Phillips Square this weekend, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is the largest juried outdoor art show in Canada, featuring the work of roughly 500 artists. As is the case with any exhibition of this size — juried or not — the quality level of the work ranges quite significantly, but there are few better places to catch talented local artists at the outset of their careers. For the non-collector, the show also rewards casual browsing and offers a refreshing alternative to the gallery scene.

Correction:

An earlier version of this post misidentified the TinType Studio booth with that of Bruce Turnbull's, which was located next-door. Apologies for the error.
