While there's always been some cheap food options on King west of Dufferin, the growth in Parkdale (in terms of bars, restaurants and retail) has largely been relegated to Queen. But changes might be afoot now that the latest indie coffee shop (from the same owners of the Lakeview) has opened near the quiet corner of King and Spencer.
