Green Toronto: Bullfrog Power
Ask around about Bullfrog Power and chances are you'll still get many people thinking that it's not as reliable as Toronto Hydro or to get it you need to disconnect from the grid.
But spend a few minutes looking at their web site and it quickly becomes evident that this notion couldn't be further from the truth. As a Bullfrog Power customer, you're still connected to Toronto Hydro. But what you're doing is paying a slight premium to invest in clean energy so in the future our homes and business and Toronto Hydro itself will be less dependent on sources like coal, nuclear, oil and gas.
Watch my interview below with Bullfrog Power Co-Founder Tom Heintzman to learn more about the company and why you should consider signing up.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. If I'm not mistaken the Mayor's own goals for the city was to make it greener and more energy efficient and now they're charging people EXTRA to invest in the possibility of more environmentally friendly power generation?!
Shouldn't this be something that the city and Toronto Hydro should be doing anyways?
This has nothing to do with this story, but just a comment on the video segments that have become BlogTO as of late. If you are going to do video, do it right. The YouTube quality is just sad. Just write the article instead of using a handy-cam and just pointing at a person for 2 minutes. I have only watched 3 of them and they are all so bad that I am just skipping them all together. The articles here are usually well written, the photographs are well done, why such shitty video? If you cant do it well just don't do it at all.
