Evan Biddell didn't shy away from starting his fashion show with a bang, leading with local fashion icon Stacie Mckenzie. But what was with the shoes? We counted not one, but two slip ups on the runway. After the show, chatter continued backstage where some suggested Biddell actually got a kick out of seeing some models not quite up for the challenge. Here's the video:

In between shows yesterday, we wandered around the tents and talked to the staff and volunteers who are so integral in making Toronto Fashion Week happen. Here are brief profiles of some of them:

Derick Chetty has had a busy Fashion Week. As Fashion Reporter of the Toronto Star, he's had front row seats to every runway show and an up close look at the latest Fall and Winter fashions. But as anyone who's been at the shows can tell you, Chetty seems to spend more time staring at his Blackberry than what's coming down the runway.

Yesterday, we cornered him on camera to ask him what's up with his obsession with Twitter. Here's the video:



Oh, and for those keeping score, Chetty has 198 followers on his Twitter at the time of this post.

Lucian Matis capped off LG Fashion Week in Toronto with one of the better runway shows. There were plenty of antlers, bracelets that could filet a bear and big, wild hair. Oh, and the clothes were nice too. Here's the video:

Sadly, the runway show for the Ryerson School of Fashion was somewhat sparsely attended this afternoon. An early timeslot was part of the problem, but the bigger culprit is the lack of respect (and interest) given by local media and fashion industry insiders. Oh well, they missed out.
