At the end of each runway show at LG Fashion Week we've tried to head backstage to snag some coveted interviews with the designers. Hey, we're not Fashion Televison, so we usually need to wait our turn (if you know what I mean), but when all is said and done, all of the designers have been gracious enough to give us a little soundbite.

Nobody quite knew what to expect at the Ryerson School of Fashion runway show, although we had managed to get a sneak peak earlier in the week.

The graduating class, comprised of Kat Marks, Dayna Phillips, David Chou, Sara Duke, Heidi Ackerman, and Sidney Holloway showed off their collections, and I was pleasantly surprised.

We were treated to a huge variety of styles, from Marks' crazy "nobody would ever wear these" shoulder pieces, to Duke's menswear, and the timeless look of Holloway's black and white outfits. Dayna Phillips' collection was my favourite of the bunch; wearable, cute, and sexy - what's not to love?

Sadly, the runway show for the Ryerson School of Fashion was somewhat sparsely attended this afternoon. An early timeslot was part of the problem, but the bigger culprit is the lack of respect (and interest) given by local media and fashion industry insiders. Oh well, they missed out. One of tomorrow's most anticipated shows hits the runway at 5pm and stars recent grads of the Ryerson School of Fashion. In preparation for the show, a number of the designers congregated in a 2nd floor room on campus Tuesday night to get fitted, pinned and otherwise prepped for the runway.
