BASCH by Brandon Dwyer at LG Fashion Week
Fun, feminine, flirty and flowy, BASCH deserves all four of my favourite f-words. Picking my chin off the floor to gather my thoughts at the jaw-dropping garments, Brandon uses gorgeous draping and frills to accentuate the feminine form. And then just when I think I've figured designer Brandon Dwyer out, he goes and does something like add a pop of bright pink fur to an already fantastic outfit.

Brandon Dwyer at Toronto Fashion Week
Brandon Dwyer's girls are two-faced for Fall 2010. In the opening clip, Andi Muise stars as a tough-girl brunette, with a blonde alter-ego. The models in disguise stalked down the runway in campy blonde wigs and glitter-covered lips.By day, the BASCH by Brandon Dwyer girl sports ladylike sheaths in heavy tweed. The palette is dominated by grey, purple and black. Though prim and figure-flattering, one keyhole version feels out of place.

Brandon Dwyer at LG Fashion Week Sorta Feels Like South Beach
Brandon Dwyer's collection feels like it was meant for a holiday. On this final day of LG Fashion Week it's blustery outside, but with this collection on the runway it feels like South Beach. A tangerine dream of a dress floats around the body, secured only by bold white and orange bandage straps a la Leger. Teal and cream tunics with drawstrings or tied belts fit the bill for laidback sun-soaking. But this former Project Runway Canada contestant's sense of style isn't lost when the sun goes down.
