Toronto Fashion Week ended with one of the best shows of the week on Friday night. Dare to Wear Love - a benefit for the Stephen Lewis Foundation - featured designs from 25 Canadian fashion designers created out of fabrics sourced in Africa by the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Participating designers included Greta Constantine, Linda Lundstrom and Pam Chorley just to name a few. Some of the models who graced the stage were Olivia Chow (above), MTV's Jessi Cruickshank and Fashion Week favourite Stacie Mckenzie. Check out the photos and video of the show below. Backstage before the NADA runway show at LG Fashion Week was a flurry of activity, from hair crimping, teasing and an extreme touch of eyeliner as the L'Oreal crew transformed these women into runway models. Big hair seemed to be all the rage as NADA geared up for yet another stunning show. Here's my photoset from the action backstage.
Fashion Week started with a bang last night. While it officially wasn't the first event of the week (that honour went to VAWK by Sunny Fong at the AGO), the opening night gala at the tents at King and Shaw was a major statement and hopefully a sign of the glamour, grace and good times yet to come.
