LG Fashion Week begins with Holt Renfrew showcase

Holt Renfrew kicked off the first day of Fashion Week on Monday with a show featuring some of their favourite designers, including Jeremy Laing, Lida Baday, Line, Pink Tartan, Wings + Horns, Smythe, Denis Gagnon, Wayne Clark, and Mikhael Kale. Such a survey made for a great viewing experience - if you didn't like one look, another designer would be along soon enough.

Jeremy Laing's gorgeous draped gown, Line's woven bustier and salmon leather gauchos, and Denis Gagnon's flapper-style frocks of looped silk cord were the highlights of the presentation, while Lida Baday's boring separates, Pink Tartan's shapeless one-shouldered maxi-dresses, and Mikhael Kale's everything-in-the-world-exploded-on-this-dress dresses needed some work.

Seeing such a great sampling of our country's raw talent was the perfect way to start this Fashion Week. Here we go!
